GERODIGITAL, LDA., a limited liability company, headquartered at Rua Dr. António Rangel, 54, R/C Dt.º, 4580-058 Paredes, legal person no. 514665858, hereinafter GERODIGITAL, believes respect for privacy and the protection of personal data provided to it, as data controller, to be critical.

With the entry into force of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as of May 25th, 2018, GERODIGITAL, LDA. hereby represents that it remains strongly committed and keen in protection of privacy and personal data of subjects using GERODIGITAL digital platforms and services and acts, and to that extent updates its Privacy Policy, in accordance with all data protection principles and standards that underlie the GDPR.

Scope of the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to data that has been directly provided by the relevant subject or collected when said subject accesses our website, such as name, telephone number, email address, nationality, job, employer and place of residence. In cases where GERODIGITAL is a subcontractor to its partners, a privacy policy for the processing of such data is established.

Personal Data and Purposes of Processing

Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A person who can be identified directly or indirectly is considered identifiable. Personal data is also the set of miscellaneous information that can lead to the identification of a specific person.

GERODIGITAL only collects the following personal data: name, telephone contact, e-mail address, nationality, job, employer and place of residence. GERODIGITAL also collects the résumé of the data subject.

GERODIGITAL collects your data for the following purposes:

– To respond to requests made by the data subject from the website, having as a legal basis the initiation of pre-contractual diligence;

– Ensuring that the site meets the needs of the data subject as a user of the site, by developing and publishing content as adapted as possible to the needs and type of user, improving the search capabilities and functionality of the site and obtaining associated or statistical information regarding the user’s type profile, based on their consent as a legal basis;

Right of access

The personal data subject has the right to obtain confirmation from GERODIGITAL on whether the data concerning them is subject to processing and, if applicable, to access their personal data and access the information provided for by law.

If you wish more than one copy of your personal data being processed, GERODIGITAL may subject this service to payment of a fee for administrative costs.

Right of rectification

The personal data subject has the right to obtain from GERODIGITAL, without undue delay, the rectification of their inaccurate personal data, as well as completion of their incomplete or incomplete data .

Right to deletion of data (“right to be forgotten”)

The personal data subject has the right to ask GERODIGITAL to delete their data, without undue delay, the latter having the obligation to delete personal data when one of the following reasons applies, namely:

  1. They challenge the accuracy of personal data, for a period that allows GERODIGITAL to verify its accuracy;
  2. The processing of data is lawful and the data subject objects to the deletion of their personal data and requests, in return, to limit its use;
  3. GERODIGITAL no longer needs personal data for processing purposes, but these data are required by the data subject for the purposes of declaring, enforcing or defending a right in court;
  4. If they have objected to the processing, until it is found that the legitimate reasons of the controller are to prevail over those of the data subject.

Right to data portability

If the processing depends on the consent of the data subject and that consent has been provided by automated means, the data subject has the right to receive the personal data concerning them and which they have provided to GERODIGITAL in a structured format, in current use and automatic reading.

Right of objection

In cases where the processing of data is carried out for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by GERODIGITAL; or where data processing is carried out for the purposes of direct marketing; or definition of profiles, the data subject may at any time object to the processing of their personal data.

Responses to your requests can be provided in writing by digital means.

Responses will be provided, without undue delay, within 1 month of the date of receipt of the request, or within 2 months followed by information to the data subject, when the request is complex or there are several requests.

Whenever enforcing one of the aforementioned rights, the Data Protection Officer take the necessary steps to comply with what is requested by the data subject, within the scope of the exercise of their rights.

GERODIGITAL is aware of its responsibility to protect the information you provide to us. Therefore, all personal data collected by GERODIGITAL are stored in databases in which various security measures, technical and organisational in nature, have been implemented, adequate to protect personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, dissemination, unauthorised access or any other form of accidental or unlawful processing, namely by restricting access to stored data to employees specifically authorised for that purpose.

Personal data breach

In the event of a personal data breach, the controller shall notify the supervisory body without undue delay, and whenever possible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, unless the personal data breach is not likely to entail risks to the rights and guarantees of natural persons.
